Waymark is free and always will be. There is no paid tier, nothing locked, and no ads.
What it actually costs
Not much, and I'd rather be straight about it than imply otherwise. A one-off $25 to publish on Google Play, a domain, and a database that is free at this size and will cost something if enough people use it. Map tiles come from OpenTopoMap, who ask for attribution rather than money.
Nobody is paying rent with this. If you donate, it goes to keeping the thing running.
If you'd like to chip in
Entirely optional, and nothing in the app changes either way — there is no supporter badge, no unlocked feature, no difference at all. That is deliberate.

Things worth more than money
Honestly, these help more:
Tell me what's broken. A screenshot and what you were doing is the single most useful thing anyone has given this project. Several real bugs were found exactly that way — numbers that looked plausible and were wrong.
Test it properly. Walk with it, lock your screen, go somewhere with bad signal, and tell me what happened.
Tell a friend who walks. Waymark is better with people you know in it.
