Terms of Use
Last updated 17 August 2026. These are the terms you agree to when you use Waymark. Please read the safety section — it matters more than the rest.
Waymark is not a medical device
Waymark is a fitness and activity-tracking app for general wellbeing. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Step counts, distances, calories, active minutes, floors and sleep figures are estimates produced by your phone’s sensors and by Health Connect. They can be wrong, sometimes substantially. Do not rely on them for any medical or clinical purpose.
Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise programme, and stop and seek medical help if you feel unwell while exercising.
Outdoor safety and navigation
Do not use Waymark as your only means of navigation. GPS can be inaccurate or unavailable, batteries die, and downloaded map areas can be incomplete or out of date. Routes shared by other people are not verified by us and may be unsafe, impassable, on private land, or simply wrong.
Carry a map and compass on remote routes, tell someone where you are going, and judge conditions for yourself. You are responsible for your own safety.
Do not interact with your phone while driving, cycling or in any situation where doing so is unsafe.
Your account
You need an account to use most of Waymark. Keep your password to yourself, give accurate information, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old.
Your content
Activities, routes, notes, photos and messages you create are yours. By sharing them with friends, groups, or as a nearby route, you give us permission to store and display them to the people you have shared them with — nothing more.
Do not upload content you have no right to share, and do not use Waymark to harass anyone or to break the law. We may remove content or suspend accounts that do.
Availability
Waymark is provided as it is, without warranties. Features may change or stop working, and the service may be unavailable at times. We do not guarantee that your data will never be lost, so keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from your use of Waymark, from inaccurate fitness or location data, or from routes shared by other users. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your use
You can stop using Waymark and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken.
