Terms of use

Last updated 6 October 2026. The same terms are in the app, under Account → Terms.

TeenyTail connects pet parents with pet boardings in Bengaluru. The boarding looks after your pet and is responsible for its care; TeenyTail runs the app, reads every listing before it goes live, and steps in when a stay goes wrong as set out below.

Paying

You pay the boarding directly, at drop-off, by UPI or cash. Nothing is paid in the app, and TeenyTail takes nothing from it.

Nights you add and anything agreed at pickup are paid to the boarding at pickup. The app always shows what the stay comes to.

TeenyTail holds no deposit. A boarding that wants one must say so in its own house rules, which you read before you book.

Cancelling

Nothing is paid until drop-off, so cancelling costs nothing. Cancel as early as you can — the boarding is keeping a place for your pet.

A boarding has 24 hours to answer a request. If it says no, or does not answer, the request lapses and you are told.

If nobody arrives, the stay cancels itself 2 hours after the drop-off time. You are told before that happens, and can move the drop-off instead.

The once-over at drop-off

A boarding that has not had your pet before spends about 20 minutes with them at drop-off before taking them in.

A dog turned away at drop-off owes nothing: nothing is paid until the boarding takes them in.

Picking up on time

Pick up by the time you booked. A late pickup is charged at the boarding's nightly rate, paid at pickup.

If nobody comes

This is the clause nobody expects to need, and the reason it is written down is so that no boarder is ever left improvising with a dog that is not theirs.

TeenyTail works a fixed ladder from the pickup hour: nudges, then calls, then your emergency contacts, then formal notice, then a vet check. Rehoming is only ever possible after 21 days, and only with TeenyTail, a vet and a partner shelter all signing off.

Every step is logged and timestamped, and the record is yours to ask for.

What we keep about you

Your name and the last four digits of your Aadhaar, confirmed through DigiLocker. Never the document itself.

Your phone number is not shown to a boarding until a booking is confirmed.

Location, when you share it, is used once to sort boardings by distance and is not stored.

What the boarding agrees to

To take the pets they said they would take, keep the hours on their listing, and send whatever updates their listing promises.

To take payment only at the door, and only what the app shows: the stay, nights added, and extras agreed at pickup. Never an advance.

To hand a pet back only to the person who booked it, or someone that person has named.

To tell TeenyTail the same day if a pet is hurt, ill, or gets out.

To follow the ladder when nobody comes for a pet, and never to rehome one alone.

What a parent agrees to when booking

  • I'll pick your pet up by the agreed time.
  • Overstay is charged at the nightly rate and paid to the boarding at pickup.
  • If I am unreachable 21 days past pickup — after calls, SMS and both my emergency contacts — the boarding may arrange veterinary care and rehoming.

Using TeenyTail

Use your own number and true details, keep your account to yourself, and treat the people on the other side of a booking with respect. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts a pet at risk.
